consultancy, advice

For over a decade, I have advised both private and commercial clients on the buying and selling of art and the curation of collections whether this is through building collections, refining the focus of an existing collection, formulate a curatorial plan or advising on and negotiating acquisitions and sales.

Over the last few years, I have also arranged exhibitions of art works for both private and corporate clients at exclusive venues this has included arranging the loan of paintings, drawings and sculptures.

I am often asked to appraise art work to assess it for insurance, estate valuation, for an upcoming sale or simply for the owner’s knowledge. My specialisation is in all areas of 19th Century and 20th Century British and European art with expertise in paintings, works on paper and sculpture, I have a general knowledge of other periods.

My research includes thorough investigations of the origin of an art work, who made it and when. Over the last decade, I have re-discovered numerous works of art from notable artists including Stanley Spencer, Christopher Nevinson, Walter Sickert, David Hockney, Helene Schjerbeck and Sir William Nicholson,
